Description

The entire contents of a couple’s house, garage, garden shed and sometimes even an office, need to be inventoried, valued and divided.

Hopefully, as their mediator, you will not be asked to be involved in this process. You do need to remind them to do it though and suggest a way to go about it.

This household good organizer is an extremely comprehensive inventory capture tool that allows a user to:

  • complete a detailed inventory of 21 different spaces in their home
  • value all of the items
  • indicate which items are to be exempt from sharing
  • indicate which partner will retain which items
  • automatically provides total value to be retained by each partner
  • calculates an offset amount owed by one partner to the other in order to balance the value of the retained items

    The organizer comes in both PDF (for manual completion) and as a Microsoft Excel workbook for automated completion. You must have the latest copy of Microsoft Excel on your computer in order to use the Excel workbook. The PDF file simply requires a PDF reader such as Acrobat.

    Provide this to your clients and hopefully they will return with a simple offset amount to be included in their asset and debt equalization calculations!
