My custom mentoring services offer you access to me on a regular schedule or on an as-needed schedule (or a combo of the two). They’re “custom” because you get to choose what you want, when you want it.
I can talk you through possibilities, educate you in areas you are running into for the first time, provide a sounding board to bounce off your thoughts and ideas. I can review your Mediation Reports or provide debriefs and planning for your next sessions.
And the best thing, much of these costs can be cross charged to your clients!
Mediator Mentoring is a Canadian company and all prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to GST.
I am willing to mentor any Canadian-based mediator.
My knowledge of other countries’ divorce practices and legal particularities, make offering my mentoring services to non-Canadian based mediators a bad idea!
The Products and Tools will still prove useful.
REGULARLY SCHEDULED MENTORING SESSIONSWhat:
Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly 1 hour mentoring sessions
Why:
To provide regular mentoring during which we can discuss whatever client, business or personal issues are up for you. Having regular, repeating mentoring sessions is particularly valuable when you’re starting out. They are less expensive than the other forms of receiving mentoring, which is also helpful in the beginning!
How:
These sessions can be held in person, at my office, or over Skype (or other online video tool).
Sessions are purchased and booked in sets of 3 or 6.
Rescheduling of a mentoring session can occur up to 24 hours in advance of the session.
Cost:
3 session package is $450
6 session package is $800
FLASH MENTORINGWhat:
In the moment (or as close to in the moment as possible) mentoring to provide you with a quick piece of advice, direction, idea, information or the opportunity to simply rant!
Why:
Situations are volatile. You get asked a question for the first time, and you don’t know the answer. A client just stormed out of your office. Your clients are solidly stuck and you need some quick tips to try. You’re having your own meltdown and need someone to talk to NOW!
How:
I will do my very best to be available to you as soon as I possibly can be and certainly within 24 hours (weekends and holidays excluded!).
These sessions can happen over phone, Skype or email and are intended to be quick and single issue focused.
Access to these sessions comes through the purchase of a Credit Package.
Cost:
Flash Mentoring sessions are priced at the equivalent of $100/20 minute session
Your Credit Package (see Pricing options below) will provide a discount to that cost.
AD HOC MENTORINGWhat:
Short, focused mentoring sessions to provide you with a quick piece of advice, direction, idea, information or the opportunity to simply rant!
Why:
Very similar to the reason you would request a Flash Mentoring session, but in this case there is less urgency to your request for a session and they can occur at a mutually convenient time. They are also 30 minute sessions so that multiple issues can be covered if necessary.
How:
I will be available to you as soon as I possibly can be and certainly within a week.
These sessions can happen over phone, Skype or email.
Access to these sessions comes through the purchase of a Credit Package.
Cost:
Ad Hoc Mentoring sessions are priced at the equivalent of $100/30 minute session.
Your Credit Package (see Pricing options below) will provide a discount to that cost.
MEDIATOR REPORT REVIEWSWhat:
When you have an initial draft of your Mediator’s Report (and before reviewing it with your clients), passing it to me for review and comment can provide invaluable feedback to ensure that you have been clear, thorough, detailed, accurate and articulate.
Why:
Your Mediator’s Reports are your most tangible, visible and long-lasting “product” and you want yours to shine! They’re going to end up being reviewed by your client’s lawyers and possibly other professionals they may hire. Particularly when you’re starting out, I can help you look (and be) your very best!
How:
These reviews are generally conducted over email.
You provide me with your draft Report.
I return the Report marked up with suggested changes and any comments or questions I may have.
We can also discuss via phone if necessary.
Cost:
At full cost, Mediator Report Reviews are charge at $300/hour (in ten minute increments). Many mediators will cross charge some or all of this service to their clients.
Your Credit Package (see Pricing options below) will provide a discount to that cost.
GETTING STARTED DAYSWhat:
Full day administrative planning and set up day
Why:
To help you get going! I’ll give you my full attention, knowledge and expertise for a full 7 hour day. We can set up software, create client processes, organize your filing system. I can teach you how to use tools you may have purchased, understand report drafting requirements. Whatever will help you to fast track your ability to get started!
How:
These sessions are booked by the day (you’re welcome to have more than one, but have one first before deciding if you really need more).
If you are located in the Calgary area, they can happen in your office, otherwise, they will happen in mine!
Cost: $900/day
